I’m Katy Eymann — an American-German visual artist working between Berlin and the Hudson Valley. For over a decade I’ve explored the female body, memory and care through ceramics, pigment and large soft forms that invite touch.
My studio practice blends traditional coil-building and wheel-throwing with contemporary painting and textile. Each piece starts as a diary sketch, becomes a clay body, survives two firings at 1240°C, and ends as a quiet monument to resilience. Collectors call it “warm minimalism” — I call it home.

“Katy Eymann turns clay into breath. Her vessels hold not water, but feeling.”
— Contemporary Clay Review, 2025
